Ernst Brings 20+ Years of Experience to Growing St. Louis Accounting Firm
St. Louis, MO — Smith Patrick CPAs announces that John Ernst, CPA, ABV, CFF, has joined its team. His experience includes more than 20 years experience in financial valuation and litigation support. This appointment supports the CPA firm’s growing advisory and consulting team that provides small businesses and families with consultative service, guidance, and support.
Prior to this role, Ernst served as a manager at Kerber, Eck & Braeckel LLP. His experience includes:
- Providing business valuations of closely held businesses for estate, gift, income tax, shareholder disputes and employee stock ownership plans
- Forensic accounting
- Litigation support for marital dissolutions
- Economic damage measurements from personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, and employment discrimination
Ernst is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He is a professional member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Forensic and Valuation Services community member) and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration – Finance from Truman State University. He also holds a Masters in Forensic Accounting from Webster University.
